From Mt. Scopus Jerusalem is spread out beneath you. We see the domes, minarets, steeples, and the Dome of the Rock beyond the walls of the Old City. We descend the Mt. Scopus passing the Church of All Nations, Garden of Gethsemane, and Kidron Valley. In the Jewish Quarter, we see the excavated Byzantine-era Cardo and visit the famous Western Wall, the greatest Jewish landmark in the world. The tour takes you along a section of the Via Dolorosa where Christ walked towards his crucifixion. Today the site of Christ’s crucifixion at Calvary and his burial tomb are within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. At the Sepulchre we see beautiful chapels and Biblical sites. The tour continues through the Old City bazaar. End the tour approx. 13:00 at the Old City. There is no return back to your hotel.
